7 Thus saith the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.
8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within five and [a]threescore years, Ephraim shall be destroyed from being a people.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye believe not, surely ye shall not be established.

- Isaiah 7:8 Counting from the five and twentieth year of the reign of Uzziah, at what time Amos prophesied this thing, and now Isaiah confirmeth that the Israelites should be led into perpetual captivity, which thing came to pass within 20 years after that Isaiah did this message.

7 Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:(A)
“‘It will not take place,
it will not happen,(B)
8 for the head of Aram is Damascus,(C)
and the head of Damascus is only Rezin.(D)
Within sixty-five years
Ephraim will be too shattered(E) to be a people.
9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria,(F)
and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son.
If you do not stand(G) firm in your faith,(H)
you will not stand at all.’”(I)
