Isaiah 65:17-25
English Standard Version
New Heavens and a New Earth
17 “For behold, (A)I create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever
in that which I create;
for behold, (B)I create Jerusalem to be a joy,
and her people to be a gladness.
19 (C)I will rejoice in Jerusalem
and be glad in my people;
(D)no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping
and the cry of distress.
20 No more shall there be in it
an infant who lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not fill out his days,
for (E)the young man shall die a hundred years old,
and (F)the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 (G)They shall build houses and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 (H)They shall not build and another inhabit;
they shall not plant and another eat;
(I)for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,
and my chosen shall long enjoy[a] the work of their hands.
23 (J)They shall not labor in vain
(K)or bear children for calamity,[b]
for (L)they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord,
and their descendants with them.
24 (M)Before they call I will answer;
(N)while they are yet speaking I will hear.
25 (O)The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;
the lion shall eat straw like the ox,
and (P)dust shall be the serpent's food.
(Q)They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.

Lexham English Bible
New Creation
17 For look! I am about to create new heavens and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered,
and they shall not come to mind.[a]
18 But rejoice and shout in exultation forever and ever over what I am about to create!
For look! I am about to create Jerusalem as a source of rejoicing,
and her people as a source of joy.
19 And I will shout in exultation over Jerusalem,
and I will rejoice over my people,
and the sound of weeping shall no longer be heard in it,
or[b] the sound of a cry for help.
20 There will no longer be a nursing infant who lives only a few[c] days,
or[d] an old man who does not fill his days,
for the boy will die a hundred years old,[e]
and the one who fails to reach[f] a hundred years[g] will be considered[h] accursed.
21 And they shall build houses and inhabit them,
and they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 They shall not build and another inhabit;
they shall not plant and another eat.
For the days of my people shall be like the days of a tree,
and my chosen ones shall enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labor for nothing,
and they shall not give birth to horror,
for they shall be offspring blessed by[i] Yahweh,
and their descendants with them.
24 And this will happen: before they call, I myself will answer;
while still they are speaking, I myself will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed like one,
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox,
but[j] dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall do no evil,
and they shall not destroy on all my holy mountain,”[k] says Yahweh.
