“Behold, My slaves will ^(A)eat, but you will be ^(B)hungry.
Behold, My slaves will ^(C)drink, but you will be ^(D)thirsty.
Behold, My slaves will ^(E)be glad, but you will be ^(F)put to shame.
¹⁴ Behold, My slaves will ^(G)shout joyfully with a merry heart,
But you will ^(H)cry out with a pained heart,
And you will wail with a broken spirit.
¹⁵ You will leave your name for a ^[a](I)curse to My chosen ones,
And Lord Yahweh will put you to death.
But ^[b]My slaves will be called by ^(J)another name,
¹⁶ Because he who ^[c]is blessed in the earth
Will ^[d]be blessed by the ^(K)God of truth,
And he who swears in the earth
Will ^(L)swear by the God of truth;
Because the former distresses are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My sight!
