Assurance of Zion’s Salvation
62 For Zion’s sake I will not [a]hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
2 (A)The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all (B)kings your glory.
(C)You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord will name.
3 You shall also be (D)a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.
4 (E)You shall no longer be termed (F)Forsaken,[b]
Nor shall your land any more be termed (G)Desolate;[c]
But you shall be called [d]Hephzibah, and your land [e]Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
(H)So shall your God rejoice over you.
6 (I)I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall [f]never hold their peace day or night.
You who [g]make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
7 And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem (J)a praise in the earth.
8 The Lord has sworn by His right hand
And by the arm of His strength:
“Surely I will no longer (K)give your grain
As food for your enemies;
And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine,
For which you have labored.
9 But those who have gathered it shall eat it,
And praise the Lord;
Those who have brought it together shall drink it (L)in My holy courts.”
10 Go through,
Go through the gates!
(M)Prepare the way for the people;
Build up,
Build up the highway!
Take out the stones,
(N)Lift up a banner for the peoples!
11 Indeed the Lord has proclaimed
To the end of the world:
(O)“Say to the daughter of Zion,
‘Surely your salvation is coming;
Behold, His (P)reward is with Him,
And His [h]work before Him.’ ”
12 And they shall call them The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken.

62 Continuó hablando el profeta: Porque amo el monte Sion, porque mi corazón suspira por Jerusalén, no cesaré de orar por ella o de interceder por ella ante Dios hasta que resplandezca en su justicia y sea maravillosa en su salvación. 2 Jerusalén, las naciones verán tu justicia, los reyes serán deslumbrados por tu gloria y Dios te otorgará un nombre nuevo. 3 El Señor te alzará en sus manos para que todos te vean: ¡espléndida corona para el Rey de reyes! 4 Jamás volverán a llamarte «La Abandonada» ni a tu nación «La Arruinada». Tu nuevo nombre será «Mi Preferida» y tu nación, «La Desposada», porque en ti se deleita el Señor y te reclamará como posesión suya. 5 Jerusalén, así como un joven se casa con su novia, así se casa contigo el que te reconstruyó. El Señor se regocija contigo, como el marido se alegra con su esposa. 6 ¡Oh Jerusalén, sobre tus muros he puesto centinelas que ni de día ni de noche dejan de decir: No descansen todos los que oran, 7 y no den tregua a Dios hasta que reestablezca a Jerusalén y haga que se le respete y admire por toda la tierra. 8 El Señor le juró solemnemente a Jerusalén: ¡Jamás volveré a entregarte en manos de tus enemigos, jamás volverán soldados extranjeros a arrebatarte el trigo y el vino! 9 Tú lo cultivaste y tú te quedarás con él, y por ello alabarás a Dios. En los atrios del templo beberán el jugo de su vendimia.
10 ¡Salgan! ¡Salgan! —dice el profeta— ¡Preparen el camino para el retorno de mi pueblo! ¡Reparen los caminos, eliminen los peñascos, alcen la bandera de Israel!
11 Miren, el Señor ha enviado sus mensajeros a todas las naciones y ha dicho:
Digan a mi pueblo: Yo, el Señor, Dios de ustedes, vengo a salvarlos, yo les daré la libertad.
12 A los israelitas los llamarán «Pueblo santo» y «Redimidos por el Señor», y a Jerusalén la llamarán «Ciudad deseada» y «Ciudad no abandonada».

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Zion's Coming Salvation
62 (A)For Zion's sake I will not keep silent,
and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet,
(B)until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.
2 (C)The nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
(D)and you shall be called by a new name
that the mouth of the Lord will give.
3 You shall be (E)a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 (F)You shall no more be termed (G)Forsaken,[a]
and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,[b]
(H)but you shall be called (I)My Delight Is in Her,[c]
and your land Married;[d]
for the Lord delights in you,
and your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a young woman,
so (J)shall your sons marry you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
so (K)shall your God rejoice over you.
6 On your walls, O Jerusalem,
I have set (L)watchmen;
all the day and all the night
they shall never be silent.
You who put the Lord in remembrance,
take no rest,
7 and give him no rest
until he establishes Jerusalem
and makes it (M)a praise in the earth.
8 The Lord has sworn (N)by his right hand
and by his mighty arm:
“I will not again give (O)your grain
to be food for your enemies,
(P)and foreigners shall not drink your wine
for which you have labored;
9 but (Q)those who garner it shall eat it
and praise the Lord,
and (R)those who gather it shall drink it
in the courts of my sanctuary.”[e]
10 Go through, go through the gates;
(S)prepare the way for the people;
(T)build up, build up the highway;
clear it of stones;
(U)lift up a signal over the peoples.
11 Behold, the Lord has proclaimed
to the end of the earth:
(V)Say to the daughter of Zion,
(W)“Behold, your salvation comes;
behold, his reward is with him,
and his recompense before him.”
12 (X)And they shall be called The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the Lord;
(Y)and you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken.
