^4 (A)You shall no more be termed ^(B)Forsaken,^[a]
    and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,^[b]
(C)but you shall be called ^(D)My Delight Is in Her,^[c]
    and your land Married;^[d]
for the Lord delights in you,
    and your land shall be married.

^17 (A)The Lord your God is in your midst,
    ^(B)a mighty one who will save;
^(C)he will rejoice over you with gladness;
    he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

^12 (A)And they shall be called The Holy People,
    The Redeemed of the Lord;
^(B)and you shall be called Sought Out,
    A City Not Forsaken.

^5 (A)For your Maker is your husband,
    the Lord of hosts is his name;
^(B)and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,
    ^(C)the God of the whole earth he is called.
^6 (D)For the Lord has called you
    like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit,
like a wife of youth when she is cast off,
    says your God.
^7 (E)For a brief moment I deserted you,
    but with great compassion I will gather you.

⁴ For the Lord ^(A)takes pleasure in his people;
    he ^(B)adorns the humble with salvation.
