61 El espíritu de Dios el Señor está sobre mí. Sí, el Señor me ha ungido; me ha enviado a proclamar buenas noticias a los afligidos,(A) a vendar a los quebrantados de corazón, a anunciar libertad a los cautivos, y liberación a los prisioneros; 2 a proclamar el año de la buena voluntad del Señor,(B) y el día de la venganza de nuestro Dios; a consolar a todos los que están tristes;(C) 3 a alegrar a los afligidos de Sión; a ponerles una diadema en lugar de ceniza, perfume de gozo en lugar de tristeza, un manto de alegría en lugar de un espíritu angustiado. Y se les llamará robles de justicia plantados por el Señor, para gloria suya. 4 Las ruinas antiguas serán reconstruidas, los asolamientos de antaño serán levantados, las ciudades en ruinas serán reparadas, junto con los escombros de tiempos pasados.
5 Los extranjeros cuidarán de las ovejas de ustedes, y les servirán en sus campos y en sus viñas, 6 y ustedes serán llamados sacerdotes del Señor y ministros de nuestro Dios; comerán de lo mejor de las naciones, y se pavonearán con sus riquezas. 7 En lugar de vergüenza, recibirán doble herencia; en lugar de deshonra, se alegrarán de lo que reciban; porque en sus tierras recibirán doble honra, y gozarán de perpetua alegría.
8 Yo, el Señor, amo la justicia y aborrezco el robo y la maldad; así que afirmaré en verdad sus obras y haré con ellos un pacto perpetuo. 9 Sus hijos y descendientes serán conocidos entre las naciones y en medio de los pueblos; todos los que los vean reconocerán que son el linaje bendito del Señor.
10 Yo me regocijaré grandemente en el Señor; mi alma se alegrará en mi Dios. Porque él me revistió de salvación; me rodeó con un manto de justicia; ¡me atavió como a un novio!, ¡me adornó con joyas, como a una novia!(D) 11 Así como la tierra produce sus renuevos, y así como el huerto hace que brote su semilla, así Dios el Señor hará brotar la justicia y la alabanza a los ojos de todas las naciones.

The Year of the Lord’s Favor
61 The Spirit(A) of the Sovereign Lord(B) is on me,
because the Lord has anointed(C) me
to proclaim good news(D) to the poor.(E)
He has sent me to bind up(F) the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom(G) for the captives(H)
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor(I)
and the day of vengeance(J) of our God,
to comfort(K) all who mourn,(L)
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown(M) of beauty
instead of ashes,(N)
the oil(O) of joy
instead of mourning,(P)
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting(Q) of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.(R)
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins(S)
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
5 Strangers(T) will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
6 And you will be called priests(U) of the Lord,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth(V) of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame(W)
you will receive a double(X) portion,
and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit(Y) a double portion in your land,
and everlasting joy(Z) will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice;(AA)
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
and make an everlasting covenant(AB) with them.
9 Their descendants(AC) will be known among the nations
and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”(AD)
10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices(AE) in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,(AF)
as a bridegroom adorns his head(AG) like a priest,
and as a bride(AH) adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden(AI) causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness(AJ)
and praise spring up before all nations.

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Because the Lord (B)has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me (C)to [a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim (D)liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 (E)To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And (F)the day of vengeance of our God;
(G)To comfort all who mourn,
3 To [b]console those who mourn in Zion,
(H)To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
(I)The planting of the Lord, (J)that He may be glorified.”

And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.

(R)And will make with them an everlasting covenant.
