60 “(A)Arise, shine; for your (B)light has come,
And the (C)glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 For behold, (D)darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His (E)glory will appear upon you.
3 (F)Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “(G)Raise your eyes all around and see;
They all gather together, they (H)come to you.
Your sons will come from afar,
And your (I)daughters will be [a]carried on the hip.
5 Then you will see and be (J)radiant,
And your heart will [b]thrill and rejoice;
Because the [c](K)abundance of the sea will be turned to you,
The (L)wealth of the nations will come to you.
6 A multitude of camels will cover you,
The young camels of Midian and (M)Ephah;
All those from (N)Sheba will come;
They will bring (O)gold and frankincense,
And (P)proclaim good news of the praises of the Lord.
7 All the flocks of (Q)Kedar will be gathered to you,
The rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
They will go up on My (R)altar with acceptance,
And I will (S)glorify My glorious house.
8 (T)Who are these who fly like a cloud
And like the doves to their windows?
9 Certainly the (U)coastlands will wait for Me;
And the (V)ships of Tarshish will come first,
To (W)bring your sons from afar,
Their silver and their gold with them,
For the name of the Lord your God,
And for the Holy One of Israel because He has (X)glorified you.
10 “(Y)Foreigners will build up your walls,
And their (Z)kings will serve you;
For in My (AA)wrath I struck you,
And in My favor I have had compassion on you.
11 Your (AB)gates will be open continually;
They will not be closed day or night,
So that people may (AC)bring you the wealth of the nations,
With (AD)their kings led in procession.
12 For the (AE)nation and the kingdom which will not serve you will perish,
And the nations will be utterly ruined.
13 The (AF)glory of Lebanon will come to you,
The (AG)juniper, the elm tree and the [d]cedar together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I will make the (AH)place of My feet glorious.
14 The (AI)sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you,
And all those who despised you will bow down at the soles of your feet;
And they will call you the (AJ)city of the Lord,
The (AK)Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 “Whereas you have been (AL)forsaken and (AM)hated
With no one passing through,
I will make you an (AN)object of pride forever,
A joy from generation to generation.
16 You will also (AO)suck the milk of nations,
And suck the breast of kings;
Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your (AP)Savior
And your (AQ)Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
And instead of iron I will bring silver,
And instead of wood, bronze,
And instead of stones, iron.
And I will make peace your administrators,
And righteousness your overseers.
18 (AR)Violence will not be heard again in your land,
Nor (AS)devastation or destruction within your borders;
But you will call your (AT)walls salvation, and your (AU)gates praise.
19 No longer will you have the (AV)sun for light by day,
Nor will the moon give you light for brightness;
But you will have the (AW)Lord as an everlasting light,
And your (AX)God as your [e]glory.
20 Your (AY)sun will no longer set,
Nor will your moon wane;
For you will have the Lord as an everlasting light,
And the days of your (AZ)mourning will be over.
21 Then all your (BA)people will be righteous;
They will (BB)possess the land forever,
The branch of [f]My planting,
The (BC)work of My hands,
That I may be (BD)glorified.
22 The (BE)smallest one will become a thousand,
And the least one a mighty nation.
I, the Lord, will bring it about quickly in its time.”

and total darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will shine over you,
and his glory will appear over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to your shining brightness.(C)
4 Raise your eyes and look round:
they all gather and come to you;
your sons will come from far away,
and your daughters on the hips of nursing mothers.(D)
5 Then you will see and be radiant,(E)
and your heart will tremble and rejoice,[b]
because the riches of the sea will become yours
and the wealth of the nations will come to you.(F)
6 Caravans of camels will cover your land[c] –
young camels of Midian and Ephah –
all of them will come from Sheba.(G)
They will carry gold and frankincense(H)
and proclaim the praises of the Lord.
7 All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered to you;
the rams of Nebaioth will serve you(I)
and go up on my altar as an acceptable sacrifice.(J)
I will glorify my beautiful house.(K)
8 Who are these who fly like a cloud,
like doves to their shelters?(L)
9 Yes, the coasts and islands will wait for me(M)
with the ships of Tarshish in the lead,(N)
to bring your children from far away,(O)
their silver and gold with them,
for the honour of the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel,(P)
who has glorified you.(Q)
10 Foreigners will rebuild your walls,(R)
and their kings will serve you.(S)
Although I struck you in my wrath,
yet I will show mercy to you with my favour.(T)
11 Your city gates will always be open;
they will never be shut day or night
so that the wealth of the nations
may be brought into you,(U)
with their kings being led in procession.
12 For the nation and the kingdom
that will not serve you will perish;
those nations will be annihilated.(V)
13 The glory of Lebanon will come to you(W) –
its pine, elm, and cypress together(X) –
to beautify the place of my sanctuary,
and I will glorify my dwelling place.[d]
14 The sons of your oppressors
will come and bow down to you;(Y)
all who reviled you
will fall face down at your feet.(Z)
They will call you the City of the Lord,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.(AA)
15 Instead of your being deserted and hated,
with no one passing through,(AB)
I will make you an object of eternal pride,(AC)
a joy from age to age.
16 You will nurse on the milk of nations,
and nurse at the breast of kings;(AD)
you will know that I, the Lord, am your Saviour(AE)
and Redeemer,(AF) the Mighty One of Jacob.(AG)
17 I will bring gold instead of bronze;
I will bring silver instead of iron,
bronze instead of wood,
and iron instead of stones.
I will appoint peace as your government
and righteousness as your overseers.
18 Violence will never again be heard of in your land;(AH)
devastation and destruction
will be gone from your borders.
You will call your walls Salvation(AI)
and your city gates Praise.
19 The sun will no longer be your light by day,
and the brightness of the moon will not shine on you.
The Lord will be your everlasting light,(AJ)
and your God will be your splendour.
20 Your sun will no longer set,
and your moon will not fade;
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and the days of your sorrow will be over.(AK)
21 All your people will be righteous;(AL)
they will possess the land for ever;(AM)
they are the branch I planted,
the work of my[e] hands,
so that I may be glorified.(AN)
22 The least will become a thousand,
the smallest a mighty nation.

60 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

4 “Alza tus ojos en derredor y mira: Todos ellos se han reunido y han venido a ti. Tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas serán traídas[a] en brazos. 5 Entonces lo verás y resplandecerás. Tu corazón se estremecerá y se ensanchará, porque la abundancia del mar se habrá vuelto a ti, y la riqueza de las naciones te será traída. 6 Una multitud de camellos te cubrirá, dromedarios de Madián y de Efa; todos ellos vendrán de Seba. Traerán oro e incienso, y proclamarán las alabanzas del SEÑOR. 7 Todo el ganado de Quedar será reunido para ti; carneros de Nebayot te servirán. 8 “¿Quiénes son estos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas hacia sus palomares? 9 Ciertamente, en mí esperarán las costas; y a la cabeza estarán las naves de Tarsis para traer de lejos a tus hijos con su plata y su oro, por el nombre del SEÑOR tu Dios y por el Santo de Israel que te ha llenado de esplendor.
10 “Los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán. Aunque en mi furor te herí, en mi buena voluntad tendré de ti misericordia. 11 Tus puertas estarán abiertas continuamente. No se cerrarán ni de día ni de noche, para que sean traídas a ti las riquezas de las naciones, y te sean conducidos sus reyes. 12 Porque la nación y el reino que no te sirvan perecerán; tales naciones serán completamente destruidas.
13 “La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti: cipreses, olmos y abetos para embellecer el lugar de mi santuario. Yo haré glorioso el lugar de mis pies. 14 Humillados vendrán a ti los hijos de los que te afligieron; a las plantas de tus pies se postrarán todos los que te menospreciaban. Te llamarán Ciudad del SEÑOR, Sion del Santo de Israel. 15 Aunque fuiste abandonada y aborrecida y no había quien caminara por ti, te convertiré en gloria eterna, motivo de regocijo de generación en generación. 16 Mamarás la leche de las naciones; mamarás el pecho de los reyes. Así conocerás que yo, el SEÑOR, soy tu Salvador y tu Redentor, el Fuerte de Jacob.
17 “En lugar de cobre traeré oro; y en lugar de hierro, plata. En lugar de madera traeré bronce; y en lugar de piedras, hierro. Pondré la paz como tus administradores y la justicia como tus recaudadores. 18 Nunca más se oirá de violencia en tu tierra ni de destrucción y ruina en tus territorios. Más bien, a tus muros llamarás Salvación, y a tus puertas Alabanza.
19 “El sol nunca más te servirá de luz durante el día ni te alumbrará el resplandor de la luna. El SEÑOR será para ti luz eterna; tu Dios será tu gloria. 20 Tu sol no se pondrá jamás ni te será quitada la luna; porque el SEÑOR será luz eterna para ti, y los días de tu duelo se acabarán.
21 “Entonces tu pueblo, todos ellos serán justos; para siempre heredarán la tierra. Ellos son los vástagos de mi plantío, la obra de mis manos, para manifestar mi gloria. 22 El más pequeño equivaldrá a mil; y el menor, a una nación poderosa. Yo, el SEÑOR, a su tiempo lo apresuraré”.
