The Gentiles Bless Zion

60 Arise, ^(A)shine;
For your light has come!
And ^(B)the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
²For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
³The ^(C)Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.

⁴“Lift^(D) up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, ^(E)they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
⁵Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because ^(F)the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
⁶The multitude of camels shall cover your land,
The dromedaries of Midian and ^(G)Ephah;
All those from ^(H)Sheba shall come;
They shall bring ^(I)gold and incense,
And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord.
⁷All the flocks of ^(J)Kedar shall be gathered together to you,
The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you;
They shall ascend with ^(K)acceptance on My altar,
And ^(L)I will glorify the house of My glory.

⁸“Who are these who fly like a cloud,
And like doves to their roosts?
⁹^(M)Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me;
And the ships of Tarshish will come first,
^(N)To bring your sons from afar,
^(O)Their silver and their gold with them,
To the name of the Lord your God,
And to the Holy One of Israel,
^(P)Because He has glorified you.

¹⁰“The^(Q) sons of foreigners shall build up your walls,
^(R)And their kings shall minister to you;
For ^(S)in My wrath I struck you,
^(T)But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
¹¹Therefore your gates ^(U)shall be open continually;
They shall not be shut day or night,
That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles,
And their kings in procession.
¹²^(V)For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish,
And those nations shall be utterly ruined.

¹³“The^(W) glory of Lebanon shall come to you,
The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I will make ^(X)the place of My feet glorious.
¹⁴Also the sons of those who afflicted you
Shall come ^(Y)bowing to you,
And all those who despised you shall ^(Z)fall prostrate at the soles of your feet;
And they shall call you The City of the Lord,
^(AA)Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁵“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,
So that no one went through you,
I will make you an eternal excellence,
A joy of many generations.
¹⁶You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles,
^(AB)And milk the breast of kings;
You shall know that ^(AC)I, the Lord, am your Savior
And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁷“Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
Instead of iron I will bring silver,
Instead of wood, bronze,
And instead of stones, iron.
I will also make your officers peace,
And your magistrates righteousness.
¹⁸Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,
Neither ^[a]wasting nor destruction within your borders;
But you shall call ^(AD)your walls Salvation,
And your gates Praise.

God the Glory of His People

¹⁹“The ^(AE)sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And ^(AF)your God your glory.
²⁰^(AG)Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the Lord will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
²¹^(AH)Also your people shall all be righteous;
^(AI)They shall inherit the land forever,
^(AJ)The branch of My planting,
^(AK)The work of My hands,
That I may be glorified.
²²^(AL)A little one shall become a thousand,
And a small one a strong nation.
I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

²⁸When He had said this, ^(B)He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. ²⁹^(C)And it came to pass, when He drew near to ^[a]Bethphage and ^(D)Bethany, at the mountain called ^(E)Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, ³⁰saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. ³¹And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”

³²So those who were sent went their way and found it just ^(F)as He had said to them. ³³But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”

³⁴And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” ³⁵Then they brought him to Jesus. ^(G)And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. ³⁶And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.

³⁷Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to ^(H)rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, ³⁸saying:

^(I)“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’
^(J)Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

³⁹And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”

⁴⁰But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, ^(K)the stones would immediately cry out.”

Heaven Exults over Babylon

19 After these things ^(A)I ^[a]heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! ^(B)Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to ^[b]the Lord our God! ²For ^(C)true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He ^(D)has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” ³Again they said, “Alleluia! ^(E)Her smoke rises up forever and ever!” ⁴And ^(F)the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, ^(G)“Amen! Alleluia!” ⁵Then a voice came from the throne, saying, ^(H)“Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, ^(I)both^[c] small and great!”

⁹Then he said to me, “Write: ^(O)‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, ^(P)“These are the true sayings of God.” ¹⁰And ^(Q)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ^(R)“See that you do not do that! I am your ^(S)fellow servant, and of your brethren ^(T)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the ^(U)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Christ on a White Horse

¹¹^(V)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, ^(W)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called ^(X)Faithful and True, and ^(Y)in righteousness He judges and makes war. ¹²^(Z)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. ^(AA)He ^[e]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. ¹³^(AB)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(AC)The Word of God. ¹⁴^(AD)And the armies in heaven, ^(AE)clothed in ^[f]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. ¹⁵Now ^(AF)out of His mouth goes a ^[g]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And ^(AG)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. ^(AH)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶And ^(AI)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

^(AJ)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

The Beast and His Armies Defeated

¹⁷Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, ^(AK)“Come and gather together for the ^[h]supper of the great God, ¹⁸^(AL)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, ^[i]free and slave, both small and great.”

¹⁹^(AM)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. ²⁰^(AN)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(AO)those who worshiped his image. ^(AP)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(AQ)burning with brimstone. ²¹And the rest ^(AR)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ^(AS)And all the birds ^(AT)were filled with their flesh.
