Isaiah 57:1-2
International Standard Version
Israel’s Idolatry
57 “Also[a] the righteous are perishing,[b]
but no one takes it to heart;
devout people[c] are taken away,
while no one understands
that the righteous person is taken away from calamity.
2 Then[d] he enters into peace,
and[e] they’ll rest on his[f] couches,
each one living righteously.[g]

Idolatry is Adultery
57 The righteous one perishes, and there is no one who takes[a] it to heart.
And men of faithfulness are gathered, while there is no one who understands,
for the righteous is gathered from the presence of wickedness.
2 he enters into peace;
they will rest on their beds,
walking straight ahead of him.
