But He was [a]pierced for (A)our offenses,
He was crushed for (B)our wrongdoings;
The (C)punishment for our [b]well-being was laid upon Him,
And by (D)His wounds we are healed.
All of us, like sheep, have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all
To [c]fall on Him.

He was oppressed and afflicted,
Yet He did not (E)open His mouth;
(F)Like a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off from the land of the [d]living
(G)For the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due?
And His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a (H)rich man in His death,
(I)Because He had (J)done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

10 But the Lord desired
To (K)crush Him, [e](L)causing Him grief;
If He renders [f]Himself as a guilt (M)offering,
He will see (N)His [g]offspring,
He will prolong His days,
And the [h]good (O)pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
11 As a result of the [i]anguish of His soul,
He will [j](P)see it and be satisfied;
By His (Q)knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
For He will (R)bear their wrongdoings.
12 Therefore, I will allot Him a (S)portion with the great,
And He will divide the plunder with the strong,
Because He poured out His [k](T)life unto death,
And was (U)counted with wrongdoers;
Yet He Himself (V)bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the wrongdoers.

For while we were still (A)helpless, (B)at the right time (C)Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous person; [a]though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God (D)demonstrates (E)His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, (F)Christ died for us.
