³⁷ For I tell you, this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted among the lawless,’ and indeed what is written about me is being fulfilled.”^(A)

²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.^(A)

¹³ He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,^{(A) 14} in whom we have redemption,^[a] the forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ And with him they crucified two rebels, one on his right and one on his left.^[a]

³² Two others also, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.^{(A) 33} When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified Jesus^[a] there with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. [[³⁴ Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”]]^[b] And they cast lots to divide his clothing.^(B)

²⁶ for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to remove sin by the sacrifice of himself.^(A)
