¹⁷ Therefore

Future Joy of Zion and Many Nations

⁶ “Up, up! Flee ^(A)from the land of the north,” says the Lord; “for I have ^(B)spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord. ⁷ “Up, Zion! ^(C)Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.”

¹¹ And have ^(A)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[a]expose them.

¹³ And Haggai said, “If one who is ^(A)unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?”

So the priests answered and said, “It shall be unclean.”

¹⁴ Then Haggai answered and said, ^(B)“ ‘So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord, ‘and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

^7 (A)King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the Lord, ^(B)which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the ^[a]temple of his gods; ⁸ and Cyrus king of Persia brought them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them out to ^(C)Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. ⁹ This is the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives, ¹⁰ thirty gold basins, four hundred and ten silver basins of a similar kind, and one thousand other articles. ¹¹ All the articles of gold and silver were five thousand four hundred. All these Sheshbazzar took with the captives who were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

⁴ And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ^(A)“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
