¹⁷ This is what the Lord, your Protector,^[a] says,
the Holy One of Israel:^[b]
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you how to succeed,
who leads you in the way you should go.

⁷⁹ to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,^[a]
to guide our feet into the way^[b] of peace.”
