48 Hear this, O house of Jacob,
    who are called by the name of Israel
    and who came forth from the loins[a] of Judah,
who swear by the name of the Lord
    and invoke the God of Israel

    I cannot endure solemn assemblies with iniquity.(D)
14 Your new moons and your appointed festivals
    my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
    I am weary of bearing them.(E)
