9 Remember the (A)former things long past,
For I am God, and there is (B)no other;
I am God, and there is (C)no one like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done,
Saying, ‘(D)My plan will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;
11 Calling a (E)bird of prey from the (F)east,
The man of [a]My purpose from a distant country.
Truly I have (G)spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.
I have planned it, I will certainly do it.

“Remember [carefully] the former things [which I did] from ages past;
For I am God, and there is no one else;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,

Declaring the end and the result from the beginning,
And from ancient times the things which have not [yet] been done,
Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will do all that pleases Me and fulfills My purpose,’
11
Calling a bird of prey from the east,
From a far country, the man (Cyrus) of My purpose.
Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.
I have planned it, be assured I will do it.

9 Lembrai-vos das coisas passadas desde a antiguidade: que eu sou Deus, e não há outro Deus, não há outro semelhante a mim; 10 que anuncio o fim desde o princípio e, desde a antiguidade, as coisas que ainda não sucederam; que digo: o meu conselho será firme, e farei toda a minha vontade; 11 que chamo a ave de rapina desde o Oriente e o homem do meu conselho, desde terras remotas; porque assim o disse, e assim acontecerá; eu o determinei e também o farei.

Eu sou Deus, e não há nenhum outro;
eu sou Deus, e não há nenhum como eu.
10 Desde o início faço conhecido o fim,
desde tempos remotos,
o que ainda virá.
Digo: Meu propósito permanecerá em pé,
e farei tudo o que me agrada.
11 Do oriente convoco uma ave de rapina;
de uma terra bem distante,
um homem para cumprir
o meu propósito.
O que eu disse, isso eu farei acontecer;
o que planejei, isso farei.
