Isaiah 45:8-10
New King James Version
8 “Rain(A) down, you heavens, from above,
And let the skies pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation,
And let righteousness spring up together.
I, the Lord, have created it.
9 “Woe to him who strives with (B)his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth!
(C)Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’?
10 Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What are you begetting?’
Or to the woman, ‘What have you brought forth?’ ”
Isaiah 45:8-10
English Standard Version
8 (A)“Shower, O heavens, from above,
and (B)let the clouds rain down righteousness;
let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit;
let the earth cause them both to sprout;
I the Lord have created it.
9 (C)“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
(D)Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’?
10 Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’
or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’”

God’s Supreme Power
8 “(A)Drip down, heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the (B)earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
(C)And righteousness sprout with it.
I, the Lord, have created it.
9 “Woe to the one who (D)quarrels with [a]his Maker—
A piece of pottery [b]among the other earthenware pottery pieces!
Will the (E)clay say to the [c]potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?
10 Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you fathering?’
Or to a woman, ‘To what are you [d]giving birth?’”
