Isaiah 44:6-9
New American Standard Bible
6 “This is what the Lord says, He who is the (A)King of Israel and his (B)Redeemer, the Lord of armies:
‘I am the (C)first and I am the last,
And there is no God (D)besides Me.
7 Who is like Me? (E)Let him proclaim and declare it;
And, let him confront Me
[a]Beginning with My establishing of the ancient [b]nation.
Then let them declare to them the things that are coming
And the events that are going to take place.
8 Do not tremble and do not be afraid;
(F)Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?
And (G)you are My witnesses.
Is there any God (H)besides Me,
Or is there any other (I)Rock?
I know of none.’”
The Foolishness of Idolatry
9 Those who fashion an idol are all futile, and their treasured things are of no benefit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be (J)put to shame.
