10 Who makes a god or casts a metal image
that benefits no one?(A)
11 Look, all its worshipers will be put to shame,
and the craftsmen are humans.
They all will assemble and stand;
they all will be startled and put to shame.

12 The ironworker labors over the coals,
shapes the idol with hammers,
and works it with his strong arm.
Also he grows hungry and his strength fails;
he doesn’t drink water and is faint.

10 Who would form a god or mold an image
(A)That profits him nothing?
11 Surely all his companions would be (B)ashamed;
And the workmen, they are mere men.
Let them all be gathered together,
Let them stand up;
Yet they shall fear,
They shall be ashamed together.

12 (C)The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals,
Fashions it with hammers,
And works it with the strength of his arms.
