Israel Is God’s Witness

^6 (A)For the mind ^[a]set on the flesh is ^(B)death, but the mind ^[b]set on the Spirit is life and peace,

²⁸ And we know that ^[a]God ^[b]causes ^(A)all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are ^(B)called according to His purpose. ²⁹ For those whom He ^(C)foreknew, He also ^(D)predestined to become ^(E)conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the ^(F)firstborn among many brothers and sisters;

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great ^(A)high priest who has ^(B)passed through the heavens, Jesus ^(C)the Son of God, let’s hold firmly to our ^(D)confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have ^(E)a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been ^(F)tempted in all things just as we are, yet ^(G)without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let’s ^(H)approach the throne of grace with ^(I)confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

^6 (A)Do not ^[a]be anxious about anything, but in everything by ^(B)prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ⁷ And ^(C)the peace of God, which surpasses all ^[b]comprehension, will ^(D)guard your hearts and ^(E)minds in ^(F)Christ Jesus.

⁸ Finally, brothers and sisters, ^(G)whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is ^[c]lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. ⁹ As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen ^(H)in me, practice these things, and ^(I)the God of peace will be with you.

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and ^(B)God of all comfort, ⁴ who ^(C)comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in ^[a]any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
