²¹ “Present your case,” says the Lord.
“Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the ^(A)King of Jacob.
²² “Let^(B) them bring forth and show us what will happen;
Let them show the ^(C)former things, what they were,
That we may ^[a]consider them,
And know the latter end of them;
Or declare to us things to come.
^23 (D)Show the things that are to come hereafter,
That we may know that you are gods;
Yes, ^(E)do good or do evil,
That we may be dismayed and see it together.
²⁴ Indeed ^(F)you are nothing,
And your work is nothing;
He who chooses you is an abomination.

⁶ “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,
And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
^(A)‘I am the First and I am the Last;
Besides Me there is no God.
⁷ And ^(B)who can proclaim as I do?
Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me,
Since I appointed the ancient people.
And the things that are coming and shall come,
Let them show these to them.
⁸ Do not fear, nor be afraid;
^(C)Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?
^(D)You are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
Indeed ^(E)there is no other Rock;
I know not one.’ ”
