Isaiah 40:6-8
Legacy Standard Bible
6 A voice says, “Call out.”
Then [a]he answered, “What shall I call out?”
(A)All flesh is grass, and all its lovingkindness is like the flower of the field.
7 The (B)grass [b]withers, the flower fades,
[c]When the (C)breath of Yahweh blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass [d]withers, the flower fades,
But (D)the word of our God stands forever.
