Isaiah 40:15-17
New Living Translation
15 No, for all the nations of the world
are but a drop in the bucket.
They are nothing more
than dust on the scales.
He picks up the whole earth
as though it were a grain of sand.
16 All the wood in Lebanon’s forests
and all Lebanon’s animals would not be enough
to make a burnt offering worthy of our God.
17 The nations of the world are worth nothing to him.
In his eyes they count for less than nothing—
mere emptiness and froth.
Isaiah 40:15-17
New American Standard Bible
15 Behold, the (A)nations are like a drop from a bucket,
And are regarded as a speck of (B)dust on the scales;
Behold, He lifts up the [a]islands like fine dust.
16 Even Lebanon is not enough to [b]burn,
Nor its (C)animals enough for a burnt offering.
17 (D)All the nations are as nothing before Him,
They are regarded by Him as less than nothing and [c]meaningless.
