Jerusalem’s Glorious Future
4 And (A)in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
“We will (B)eat our own food and wear our own apparel;
Only let us be called by your name,
To take away (C)our reproach.”
The Renewal of Zion
2 In that day (D)the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious;
And the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and appealing
For those of Israel who have escaped.
3 And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem (E)will be called holy—everyone who is (F)recorded among the living in Jerusalem. 4 When (G)the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the [a]blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, 5 then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, (H)a cloud and smoke by day and (I)the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a [b]covering. 6 And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, (J)for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.

4 Og syv kvinner skal på den dag ta fatt i én mann og si: Vårt eget brød vil vi ete, og i våre egne klær vil vi klæ oss; la oss bare kalles med ditt navn, ta bort vår vanære!
2 På den dag skal Herrens spire være til pryd og herlighet, og landets frukt til stolthet og til pryd for de undkomne av Israel.
3 Og det skal skje: Den som blir igjen på Sion og levnes i Jerusalem, skal kalles hellig, hver den som er innskrevet til livet i Jerusalem -
4 når Herren får avtvettet Sions døtres urenhet og får vasket Jerusalems blodskyld bort fra dets midte ved doms ånd og renselses ånd.
5 Og over hvert sted på Sions berg og over dets forsamlinger skal Herren skape en sky og en røk om dagen og glans av luende ild om natten; for over alt herlig er det et dekke.
6 Og en hytte skal der være til skygge om dagen mot hete og til ly og skjul mot vannskyll og regn.

and provide our own clothes;
only let us be called by your name.
Take away our disgrace!”(D)
The Branch of the Lord
2 In that day(E) the Branch of the Lord(F) will be beautiful(G) and glorious, and the fruit(H) of the land will be the pride and glory(I) of the survivors(J) in Israel. 3 Those who are left in Zion,(K) who remain(L) in Jerusalem, will be called holy,(M) all who are recorded(N) among the living in Jerusalem. 4 The Lord will wash away the filth(O) of the women of Zion;(P) he will cleanse(Q) the bloodstains(R) from Jerusalem by a spirit[a] of judgment(S) and a spirit[b] of fire.(T) 5 Then the Lord will create(U) over all of Mount Zion(V) and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;(W) over everything the glory[c](X) will be a canopy.(Y) 6 It will be a shelter(Z) and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge(AA) and hiding place from the storm(AB) and rain.
