Phước Hạnh của Người Ðược Cứu
35 Miền hoang dã và vùng đất khô cằn sẽ vui mừng;
Sa mạc sẽ mừng rỡ và trổ hoa như hoa hồng nở rộ.
2 Nó sẽ trổ hoa đầy dẫy khắp nơi;
Nó sẽ hân hoan vui mừng ca hát.
Vinh hiển của Li-băng,
Hùng vĩ của Cạt-mên,
Và rực rỡ của Sa-rôn đều được ban cho nó.
Người ta sẽ thấy vinh hiển của Chúa,
Tức sự huy hoàng của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta.
3 Hãy làm cho những cánh tay yếu đuối được mạnh mẽ,
Những đầu gối run rẩy được vững vàng.
4 Hãy nói với những người có lòng sợ hãi,
“Hãy mạnh mẽ lên, đừng sợ!
Này, Ðức Chúa Trời của anh chị em sẽ đến để báo thù bằng sự báo trả của Ðức Chúa Trời;
Ngài sẽ đến và cứu anh chị em.”
5 Bấy giờ mắt người mù sẽ mở ra,
Tai người điếc sẽ nghe rõ,
6 Bấy giờ người què sẽ nhảy như nai rừng,
Lưỡi người câm sẽ ca hát.
Vì nước đã phun lên trong đồng hoang khô hạn;
Sa mạc bây giờ đầy những suối nước trào tuôn.
7 Miền đất khô cằn biến thành ao hồ ngập nước;
Vùng đất khô khan đầy các suối nước tuôn dòng;
Nơi ngày trước những chó rừng nằm ngủ,
Giờ cỏ xanh, lau, sậy mọc um tùm.
8 Rồi ở đó người ta sẽ xây một đại lộ làm con đường di chuyển,
Và đặt tên là Ðường Thánh;
Những kẻ ô uế sẽ không được đi trên đường ấy,
Ðường ấy chỉ dành cho những người thuộc về Chúa[a] mà thôi.
Những lữ khách điên rồ sẽ không được lang thang trên đường ấy.
9 Sư tử sẽ không đón đường ai trên đường ấy;
Các thú dữ sẽ không đi trên đường ấy;
Chẳng ai thấy chúng lảng vảng ở đó;
Nhưng chỉ những người được cứu chuộc đi trên đường ấy.
10 Những người được Chúa cứu chuộc sẽ trở về;
Họ sẽ tiến về Si-ôn với tiếng hát vui mừng;
Niềm vui đời đời sẽ rạng ngời trên gương mặt họ,
Họ sẽ vui mừng và hớn hở,
Sầu thảm và than thở sẽ trốn mất.

35 The desert(A) and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.(B)
Like the crocus,(C) 2 it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.(D)
The glory of Lebanon(E) will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel(F) and Sharon;(G)
they will see the glory(H) of the Lord,
the splendor of our God.(I)
3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees(J) that give way;
4 say(K) to those with fearful hearts,(L)
“Be strong, do not fear;(M)
your God will come,(N)
he will come with vengeance;(O)
with divine retribution
he will come to save(P) you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened(Q)
and the ears of the deaf(R) unstopped.
6 Then will the lame(S) leap like a deer,(T)
and the mute tongue(U) shout for joy.(V)
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams(W) in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground(X) bubbling springs.(Y)
In the haunts where jackals(Z) once lay,
grass and reeds(AA) and papyrus will grow.
8 And a highway(AB) will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;(AC)
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean(AD) will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
9 No lion(AE) will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;(AF)
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed(AG) will walk there,
10 and those the Lord has rescued(AH) will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;(AI)
everlasting joy(AJ) will crown their heads.
Gladness(AK) and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.(AL)

35 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the [a]rose. 2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the [b]feeble knees. 4 Say to them that are of a [c]fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: [d]behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 7 And the [e]glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be [f]grass with reeds and rushes. 8 And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for [g]the redeemed: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein. 9 No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon; they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 10 and the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
