    he will come with vengeance;^(E)
with divine retribution
    he will come to save^(F) you.”

⁵ Then will the eyes of the blind be opened^(G)
    and the ears of the deaf^(H) unstopped.
⁶ Then will the lame^(I) leap like a deer,^(J)
    and the mute tongue^(K) shout for joy.^(L)
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
    and streams^(M) in the desert.

⁷ to open eyes that are blind,^(A)
    to free^(B) captives from prison^(C)
    and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.^(D)
