10 (A)“Now I will arise,” says the Lord,
    “now I will lift myself up;
    now I will be exalted.
11 (B)You conceive chaff; you give birth to stubble;
    your breath is (C)a fire that will consume you.
12 And the peoples will be as if burned to lime,
    (D)like thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire.”

13 Hear, you who are far off, what I have done;
    and you who are near, acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid;
    trembling has seized the godless:
(E)“Who among us can dwell (F)with the consuming fire?
    Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
15 (G)He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,
    who despises the gain of oppressions,
who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe,
    who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed
    (H)and shuts his eyes from looking on evil,
16 he will dwell on the heights;
    his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks;
    (I)his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.

10 “Now I will rise up,” says the Lord.
“Now I will exalt myself;
now I will magnify myself.[a]

12 The nations will be burned to ashes;[d]

13 You who are far away, listen to what I have done!
You who are close by, recognize my strength.”
14 Sinners are afraid in Zion;
panic[e] grips the godless.[f]
They say,[g] “Who among us can coexist with destructive fire?
Who among us can coexist with unquenchable[h] fire?”
15 The one who lives[i] uprightly[j]
and speaks honestly;
the one who refuses to profit from oppressive measures
and rejects a bribe;[k]
the one who does not plot violent crimes[l]
and does not seek to harm others[m]
16 this is the person who will live in a secure place;[n]
he will find safety in the rocky, mountain strongholds;[o]
he will have food
and a constant supply of water.
