⁹ His rock shall pass away in terror,
    and his officers desert the standard in panic,”
says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion
    and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.^(A)

⁶     you will be visited by the Lord of hosts
with thunder and earthquake and great noise,
    with whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a devouring fire.^(A)

¹⁷ The light of Israel will become a fire
    and his Holy One a flame,
and it will burn and devour
    his thorns and briers in one day.^(A)

³⁷ Then he will say, ‘Where are their gods,
    the rock in which they took refuge,^(A)

³¹ Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock;
