(A)And Yahweh of hosts will prepare a [a]lavish banquet for (B)all peoples on this mountain;
A banquet of [b]aged wine, [c]choice pieces with marrow,
And [d]refined, aged wine.
And on this mountain He will swallow up the [e](C)covering which is over all peoples,
Even the veil which is [f]stretched over all nations.
He will (D)swallow up death for all time,
And Lord Yahweh will (E)wipe tears away from all faces,
And He will remove the (F)reproach of His people from all the earth;
For Yahweh has spoken.
And it will be said in that day,
“Behold, (G)this is our God in whom we have (H)hoped that (I)He would save us.
This is Yahweh in whom we have hoped;
(J)Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”
10 For the hand of Yahweh will rest on this mountain,
And (K)Moab will be trodden down in his place
As straw is trodden down in the water of a manure pile.
11 And he will (L)spread out his hands in the middle of it
As a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim,
But Yahweh will (M)lay low his lofty pride together with the trickery of his hands.
12 The (N)unassailable fortifications of your walls He will bring down,
Lay low, and cast to the ground, even to the dust.

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wine on the lees well refined. And he will destroy on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.

It will be said on that day, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

10 For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down in his place, as straw is trodden down in a dung-pit. 11 And he will spread out his hands in the midst of it as a swimmer spreads his hands out to swim; but the Lord will lay low his pride together with the skill[a] of his hands. 12 And the high fortifications of his walls he will bring down, lay low, and cast to the ground, even to the dust.
