A Prophecy Against Egypt and Cush
20 In the year that the supreme commander,(A) sent by Sargon king of Assyria, came to Ashdod(B) and attacked and captured it— 2 at that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz.(C) He said to him, “Take off the sackcloth(D) from your body and the sandals(E) from your feet.” And he did so, going around stripped(F) and barefoot.(G)
3 Then the Lord said, “Just as my servant(H) Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years,(I) as a sign(J) and portent(K) against Egypt(L) and Cush,[a](M) 4 so the king(N) of Assyria will lead away stripped(O) and barefoot the Egyptian captives(P) and Cushite(Q) exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared(R)—to Egypt’s shame.(S) 5 Those who trusted(T) in Cush(U) and boasted in Egypt(V) will be dismayed and put to shame.(W) 6 In that day(X) the people who live on this coast will say, ‘See what has happened(Y) to those we relied on,(Z) those we fled to for help(AA) and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?(AB)’”

20 In the year [711 B.C.E.] that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon Melech Ashur sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;
2 At the same time spoke Hashem by Yeshayah Ben Amotz, saying, Go and remove the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy sandal from thy regel. And he did so, going arom (naked, stripped) and barefoot.
3 And Hashem said, Just as Avdi Yeshayah hath walked arom (naked) and barefoot shalosh shanim for an ot and mofet against Mitzrayim and Kush;
4 So shall Melech Ashur (Assyria) lead away captive Mitzrayim and Golus-exiled Kush, ne’arim and zekenim, aron (naked) and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Mitzrayim.
5 And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Kush their expectation, and of Mitzrayim their tiferet (glory, boast).
6 And the inhabitant of this coast shall say in that day, Hinei, such is our expectation, where we fled for ezrah (help) to be delivered from Melech Ashur; and how shall we escape?

20 In the year that (A)Tartan[a] came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it, 2 at the same time the Lord spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, “Go, and remove (B)the sackcloth from your [b]body, and take your sandals off your feet.” And he did so, (C)walking naked and barefoot.
3 Then the Lord said, “Just as My servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years (D)for a sign and a wonder against Egypt and Ethiopia, 4 so shall the (E)king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians as prisoners and the Ethiopians as captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, (F)with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. 5 (G)Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory. 6 And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day, ‘Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for (H)help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?’ ”

3 Then the Lord said, “As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot for three years (D)as a sign and a portent against Egypt and Cush,[a] 4 so shall the (E)king of Assyria lead away the Egyptian captives and the Cushite exiles, both the young and the old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered, the nakedness of Egypt. 5 (F)Then they shall be dismayed and ashamed because of Cush their hope and of Egypt their boast. 6 And the inhabitants of (G)this coastland will say in that day, ‘Behold, this is what has happened to those in whom we hoped and (H)to whom we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria! And we, how shall we escape?’”

Signo profético contra Egipto y Cus
20 El año en que llegó a Asdod el general en jefe enviado por Sargón, rey de Asiria, la atacó y la capturó. 2 Por aquel entonces mandó un mensaje el Señor a Isaías, hijo de Amós, en estos términos:
— Ve, descíñete el saco de la cintura y quítate las sandalias de los pies.
Así lo hizo [Isaías] y anduvo desnudo y descalzo. 3 Dijo el Señor:
— Lo mismo que mi siervo Isaías ha andado desnudo y descalzo durante tres años como signo y presagio contra Egipto y contra Cus, 4 así conducirá el rey de Asiria a los deportados de Egipto y a los prisioneros de Cus, lo mismo a jóvenes que a ancianos, desnudos y descalzos, mostrando sus vergüenzas.
5 Quedarán acobardados y avergonzados los que confiaban en Cus, los que se gloriaban de la amistad egipcia. 6 Dirán aquel día los habitantes de esta costa: “A esto han ido a parar aquellos a quienes pedimos ayuda para que nos salvaran del rey de Asiria. ¿Cómo nos pondremos a salvo?”.
