Isaiah 14:4-7
English Standard Version
4 you will take up this (A)taunt against the king of Babylon:
“How the oppressor has ceased,
(B)the insolent fury[a] ceased!
5 The Lord has broken the (C)staff of the wicked,
the (D)scepter of rulers,
6 (E)that struck the peoples in wrath
with unceasing blows,
that ruled the nations in anger
with unrelenting persecution.
7 The whole earth is at rest and quiet;
(F)they break forth into singing.

3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great (A)red dragon, (B)with seven heads and (C)ten horns, and on his heads (D)seven diadems. 4 His tail swept down (E)a third of the stars of heaven and (F)cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child (G)he might devour it. 5 She gave birth to a male child, (H)one who is to rule[a] all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was (I)caught up to God and to his throne, 6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for (J)1,260 days.
Satan Thrown Down to Earth
7 Now war arose in heaven, (K)Michael and (L)his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 And (M)the great dragon was thrown down, (N)that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, (O)the deceiver of the whole world—(P)he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
