²⁷ For the Lord of hosts has planned,
    and who will annul it?
His hand is stretched out,
    and who will turn it back?^(A)

¹³ Indeed, since that day I am he;
    there is no one who can deliver from my hand;
    I work, and who can hinder it?^(A)

¹³ But he stands alone, and who can dissuade him?
    What he desires, that he does.^(A)

³⁰ No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel
    can avail against the Lord.^(A)

¹² He snatches away; who can stop him?
    Who will say to him, ‘What are you doing?’^(A)

²¹ The human mind may devise many plans,
    but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.^(A)

¹¹ The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
    the thoughts of his heart to all generations.^(A)
