²⁷ For the Lord Almighty has purposed,^(A) and who can thwart him?
    His hand^(B) is stretched out, and who can turn it back?^(C)

¹³     Yes, and from ancient days^(A) I am he.^(B)
No one can deliver out of my hand.
    When I act, who can reverse it?”^(C)

¹³ “But he stands alone, and who can oppose him?^(A)
    He does whatever he pleases.^(B)

³⁰ There is no wisdom,^(A) no insight, no plan
    that can succeed against the Lord.^(B)

¹² If he snatches away, who can stop him?^(A)
    Who can say to him, ‘What are you doing?’^(B)

²¹ Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
    but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.^(A)

¹¹ But the plans of the Lord stand firm^(A) forever,
    the purposes^(B) of his heart through all generations.
