¹⁷See, I will stir up the Medes against them,
who shall not regard silver;
and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

New International Version

¹⁷See, I will stir up^(A) against them the Medes,^(B)
who do not care for silver
and have no delight in gold.^(C)

¹⁸Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces,
and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb;
their eye shall not spare children.

¹⁸Their bows^(A) will strike down the young men;^(B)
they will have no mercy^(C) on infants,
nor will they look with compassion on children.^(D)
