¹¹ It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
^(A)From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the ^[a]islands of the sea.

⁸ ‘For it shall come to pass in that day,’
Says the Lord of hosts,
‘That I will break his yoke from your neck,
And will burst your bonds;
Foreigners shall no more enslave them.
⁹ But they shall serve the Lord their God,
And ^(A)David their king,
Whom I will ^(B)raise up for them.

¹⁰ ‘Therefore ^(C)do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says the Lord,
‘Nor be dismayed, O Israel;
For behold, I will save you from afar,
And your seed ^(D)from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet,
And no one shall make him afraid.
¹¹ For I am with ^(E)you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you;
^(F)Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you,
^(G)Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you ^(H)in justice,
And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’

^(A)“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

⁹ “I^(C) will ^[a]sow them among the peoples,
And they shall ^(D)remember Me in far countries;
They shall live, together with their children,
And they shall return.
^10 (E)I will also bring them back from the land of Egypt,
And gather them from Assyria.
I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon,
^(F)Until no more room is found for them.
^11 (G)He shall pass through the sea with affliction,
And strike the waves of the sea:
All the depths of ^[b]the River shall dry up.
Then ^(H)the pride of Assyria shall be brought down,
And ^(I)the scepter of Egypt shall depart.

¹² “So I will strengthen them in the Lord,
And ^(J)they shall walk up and down in His name,”
Says the Lord.
