¹⁹ When they say to you, “^(A)Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should a people not ^(B)consult their God? Should they ^(C)consult the dead in behalf of the living? ²⁰ To the ^[a](D)Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak in accordance with this word, it is because ^(E)they have no dawn.

³³ The Jews answered Him, “We are not stoning You for a good work, but for ^(A)blasphemy; and because You, being a man, ^(B)make Yourself out to be God.” ³⁴ Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in ^(C)your ^(D)Law: ‘^(E)I said, you are gods’? ³⁵ If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be nullified), ³⁶ are you saying of Him whom the Father ^(F)sanctified and ^(G)sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘^(H)I am the Son of God’?
