for this is what the Lord God says, “It shall not stand nor shall it happen. For the head (capital) of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is [King] Rezin (now within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken to pieces and will no longer be a people). And the head (capital) of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son [King Pekah]. If you will not [a]believe [and trust in God and His message], be assured that you will not be established.”’”

Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:(A)

“‘It will not take place,
    it will not happen,(B)

    Ephraim will be too shattered(E) to be a people.
The head of Ephraim is Samaria,(F)

If you do not stand(G) firm in your faith,(H)

And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
