¹⁶For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

Isaiah 66:16

New International Version

¹⁶For with fire^(A) and with his sword^(B)
the Lord will execute judgment^(C) on all people,
and many will be those slain^(D) by the Lord.

³⁵And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

³⁵I will bring you into the wilderness^(A) of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgment^(B) upon you.
