Isaiah 65:17

¹⁷For behold, I create ^[a]new heavens and a new earth. And the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.^(A)

Isaiah 65:17 A new universe is meant here. The Hebrew language has no single word to express the concept of cosmos or universe, so heavens and earth are substituted.

¹⁷“See, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.^(A)
The former things will not be remembered,^(B)
nor will they come to mind.

²²For as the new ^[a]heavens and the new earth which I make shall remain before Me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain.

²²“As the new heavens and the new earth^(A) that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure.^(B)
