Go! Say to these people:
Keep listening, but do not understand;^(A)
keep looking, but do not perceive.
¹⁰ Make the minds^[a] of these people dull;
deafen their ears and blind their eyes;
otherwise they might see with their eyes
and hear with their ears,
understand with their minds,
turn back, and be healed.^(B)

²¹ For the Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim.^(A)
He will rise in wrath, as at the Valley of Gibeon,^(B)
to do his work, his unexpected work,
and to perform his task, his unfamiliar task.

⁷ for your iniquities and the iniquities^(A)
of your^[a] ancestors together,”
says the Lord.
“Because they burned incense on the mountains
and reproached me on the hills,^(B)
I will reward them fully^[b]
for their former deeds.”

⁵ Look at the nations^[a](A) and observe^(B)—
be utterly astounded!^(C)
For I am doing something in your days
that you will not believe^(D)
when you hear about it.^(E)
