³ Indeed, ^(A)the Lord will comfort Zion;
He will comfort all her ^(B)waste places.
And her ^(C)wilderness He will make like ^(D)Eden,
And her desert like the ^(E)garden of the Lord;
^(F)Joy and gladness will be found in her,
Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.

⁹ ‘I made it beautiful with the multitude of its branches,
And all the trees of ^(A)Eden, which were in the ^(B)garden of God, were jealous of it.

³ A ^(A)fire consumes before them
And behind them a flame burns.
The land is ^(B)like the garden of Eden before them
But a ^(C)desolate wilderness behind them,
And nothing at all escapes them.
