²⁵ On this account, the ^(A)anger of Yahweh has burned against His people,
And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down.
And the ^(B)mountains trembled, and their ^(C)corpses ^[a]lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.
^(D)For all this His anger is not turned back,
But His ^(E)hand is still stretched out.

⁴ Nothing remains but to crouch ^[a]among the ^(A)captives
Or fall ^[b]among those ^(B)killed.
^(C)In spite of all this, His anger does not turn back
And His hand is still stretched out.

²⁴ The ^(A)burning anger of Yahweh will not turn back
Until He has done and until He has established
The intent of His heart;
In the ^(B)last days you will understand this.
