Isaiah 5:24

24 Therefore, (A)as a tongue of fire consumes stubble
And dry grass collapses into the flame,
So their (B)root will become (C)like rot and their blossom [a]blow away as dust;
For they have (D)rejected the law of Yahweh of hosts
And the word of the Holy One of Israel they have spurned.

11 Get out of the way, (A)turn aside from the path,
[a](B)Cease speaking before us about the Holy One of Israel.”
12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel,
“(C)Since you have rejected this word
And have put your trust in (D)oppression and deviousness and have relied on them,
13 Therefore this (E)iniquity will be to you
Like a (F)breach about to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes (G)suddenly in an instant,
14 Whose breaking is like the breaking of a (H)potter’s jar,
[b]So ruthlessly shattered
That a potsherd will not be found among its pieces
To [c]take fire from a hearth
Or to scoop water from a cistern.”
15 For thus Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, has said,
“In [d]repentance and (I)rest you will be saved,
In (J)quietness and trust is your might.”
But you were not willing,
