⁵ I am the Lord, and there is no other;
    besides me there is no god.
    I arm you, though you do not know me,^(A)

⁸ Do not fear or be afraid;
    have I not told you from of old and declared it?
    You are my witnesses!
Is there any god besides me?
    There is no other rock; I know not one.^(A)

⁹     remember the former things of old,
for I am God, and there is no other;
    I am God, and there is no one like me,^(A)

²⁷ You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel
    and that I, the Lord, am your God and there is no other.
And my people shall never again be put to shame.^(A)
