⁶ So I gave a decree to ^(A)bring into my presence all the wise men of Babylon, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. ⁷ Then the ^[a](B)magicians, the conjurers, the ^[b]Chaldeans, and the diviners came in, and I said the dream ^[c]to them, but they could not make its ^(C)interpretation known to me.

¹¹ There is a ^(A)man in your kingdom in whom is ^[a]a ^(B)spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, your father ^[b](C)the king, set him as chief of the ^[c]magicians, conjurers, ^[d]Chaldeans, and diviners.

¹⁵ Just now the ^(A)wise men and the conjurers were brought in before me that they might read this writing and make its interpretation known to me, but they ^(B)could not declare the interpretation of the ^[a]message.
