²³ but you have ^(A)raised yourself up against the ^(B)Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the ^(C)gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear, or know. But the God ^(D)in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ^(E)ways, you have not honored.

²⁰ And the rest of ^[a]mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, ^(A)did not repent of ^(B)the works of their hands, so as not to ^(C)worship demons, and ^(D)the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
