Isaiah 40:6-8
New Life Version
6 A voice says, “Cry.” And he said, “What should I cry?” All flesh is grass. All its beauty is like the flower of the field. 7 The grass dries up and the flower loses its color when the breath of the Lord blows upon it. For sure the people are grass. 8 The grass dries up. The flower loses its color. But the Word of our God stands forever.

6 A voice says, “Cry out.”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
“All people are like grass,(A)
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
7 The grass withers(B) and the flowers fall,
because the breath(C) of the Lord blows(D) on them.
Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers and the flowers(E) fall,
but the word(F) of our God endures(G) forever.(H)”
