Good News Translation
5 to go back to Hezekiah and say to him, “I, the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will let you live fifteen years longer. 6 I will rescue you and this city of Jerusalem from the emperor of Assyria, and I will continue to protect the city.”
7 Isaiah replied, “The Lord will give you a sign to prove that he will keep his promise.

5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David,(A) says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears;(B) I will add fifteen years(C) to your life. 6 And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend(D) this city.
7 “‘This is the Lord’s sign(E) to you that the Lord will do what he has promised:
