You will flee at the threat of five,
Until you are left as a ^[a]flag on a mountain top
And as a ^[b]standard on a hill.

^3 (A)Judah has gone into exile because of affliction
And because of great slavery;
She sits ^(B)among the nations,
But she has found no rest;
All ^(C)her pursuers have overtaken her
In the midst of ^[a]distress.

⁶ So all her ^(A)majesty
Has gone out from the daughter of Zion;
Her princes have become like deer
That have found no pasture;
So they have ^[a](B)fled without strength
Before the pursuer.

¹⁹ Our pursuers were ^(A)swifter
Than the eagles of the sky;
They hotly pursued us on the mountains;
They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness.
