27 In that day ^(A)Yahweh will ^[a]punish ^[b](B)Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
With His fierce and great and ^[c]mighty sword,
Even ^[d]Leviathan the twisted serpent;
And ^(C)He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

⁵ For ^(A)My sword is satiated in heaven;
Behold, it shall descend for judgment upon ^(B)Edom
And upon the people whom I have ^(C)devoted to destruction.
⁶ The sword of Yahweh is filled with blood;
It is ^[a]sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats,
With the fat of the kidneys of rams.
For Yahweh has a sacrifice in ^(D)Bozrah
And a great slaughter in the land of ^(E)Edom.

¹⁶ For Yahweh will execute judgment by ^(A)fire
And by His ^(B)sword on all flesh,
And those slain by Yahweh will be many.
