² For You have made a city into a ^(A)heap,
A ^(B)fortified town into a ruin;
A ^(C)palace of strangers is a city no more,
It will never be rebuilt.

³ So Tyre built herself a ^(A)tight fortification
And ^(B)tied up silver like dust
And ^(C)fine gold like the mire of the streets.
⁴ Behold, the Lord will ^(D)dispossess her
And strike her wealth down into the sea;
And she will be ^(E)consumed with fire.
